Lavender Cottage Bed & Breakfast

This stunning country property located 10 minutes north of Uxbridge, combines an 1820 log house with a spacious new addition exuding a cosy and friendly atmosphere. Guests at Lavender Cottage Bed & Breakfast feel so pampered with gourmet breakfasts and comfortable rooms that they become regular guests. The log house was originally a French sea captain’s house on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Rimouski, Quebec before being rebuilt here in 1980. It was featured in Century Home magazine in 1984, and is still truly loved inside and out, having been selected for the Uxbridge Christmas Tour of Homes and Uxbridge Garden Tour. The perennial gardens offer many areas for guests to sit and relax in summer, and a perfect setting for small intimate weddings. The pool and hot tub are also available to guests. The bright and spacious addition is used for one day workshops, and weekend quilting, scrapbooking and other craft retreats. A two bedroom suite with sitting room is used for extended stay executives on assignment and families visiting relatives or attending weddings in the area. Conveniently located in the sheltered Wagner Lake valley, it is the closest accommodation to Lucy Maud Montgomery Manse, some of Canada’s top-rated golf courses, the Trails Capital of Canada, and local ski hills.
